Kien Giang Bakery celebrates Chinese New Year and the
Mid-Autumn Festival by making traditional Asian pastries.
These holidays follow the Chinese Lunar Calendar, which
would fall on different days during the year on a
traditional calendar. Chinese New Year normally occurs late
January or early February, according to the Chinese
Zodiac, the Year of 2010 is the Year of the Tiger, which
begins on February 14, 2010 and ends on February 2, 2011
During Chinese New Year (Tết Holidays), Kien Giang Bakery
makes sweet rice tamales called “Bánh Tét” and “Bánh Chưng”.
They also make traditional sweets such as coconut snowball
cookies, peanut candy, sesame candy, lotus candy, and other
assorted preserved fruit candies.
All of Kien Giang's Bánh Tét, Bánh Chưng, Bánh 3-Mŕu, Bánh
Chuối are freshly made daily during Tết Holidays. However,
the quantity is limited so we recommend that you place your
orders in advance.

during Chinese New Year. It demonstrates the
important of rice in the Vietnamese culture as well

glutinous rice, which is rolled in a banana leaf

3-Mŕu" is time consuming and skillful, each one is
carefully wrapped in banana leaf. What's unique about
"Bánh Tét 3-Mŕu" is that it has 3 flavors from 3

Mid Autumn
Festival this year is on October 3rd. All orders must be
placed on or before September 25th to insure delivery on time
for the Festival. Orders place after 2:00PM PT will be processed
next business day. Orders place after 2:00PM PT Friday will be
processed following Monday. ALL SHIPMENTS take 5-7 business
